Reseting, leaving the traditional lifestyle, and living present Seth Brown found himself prolifically writing songs after a multiple year hiatus. He’d done the Nashville thing. Tested the co-writing scene and shared stages with multiple grammy award winning incredible artists. Dwan Hill, Travis Meadows, Russell Dickerson, Alvin Love, Cece Winans and more.
What got Seth writing again after meeting and marrying Desiree and the couple leaving the music city scene, songs bubbling from deep within, was when they set sail to find themselves and all they were created to be. In early 2019 the couple left all they’d known, corporate careers and their custom build home, for full time travel in an old redone Astro Van, on an alternative life path.
As they traversed and traveled the country heartfelt authentic songs came to life in some rather majestic places. Big Bend National Park, sunny mornings as the water lapped on river banks in Montana, deep within the red rocks of Sedona Arizona, peaceful days on Southern Oregon’s Rogue River and many other paths along the way birthed four dozen (and counting) impeccable original songs that consistently resonate with crowds. Crowds that quickly fall in love with the Seth Brown Duo, becoming their newest fans!
Seth is a true gem of a songwriter, a modern day Tom Petty. Growing up in a large musical family surrounded by the Eagle Cap wilderness of rural eastern Oregon, youngest son to parents of nineteen children, starting at the age of ten he has spent the majority of his life writing songs with six strings in hand. In a world and age where music is regurgitated, overproduced, and emulated to be the next star, Seth’s lyrics, melodies, and overall vibrations are a bright beacon of hope and honesty in the songwriting and live performance space. He's a dynamite showman, leading on guitar and vocals as Desy joins on BGV's and percussion.
Desiree grew up in the country as well, with only one sister out in the golden cornfields of Illinois. She made the trek to Nashville in her mid 20s and serendipitously met Seth. Always carrying a love of writing and music in her heart and soul, the duo was fireworks from the start!
Seth's long awaited, dreamed-of-from-childhood, full length, full band album Campfire Currency released spring of 2021 with crowd favorites ‘If You’re Lookin’, ‘Ice Cream and Chocolate’, and ‘Okay This Way’. Desiree released her debut, journal style, from the soul, no holding back travel novel Desy’s Diaries - awakening to the alternative fall of 2022.
Reawakening their love of writing in 2019 on the wide open road the Duo has toured Oregon, Arizona, California, Utah, Colorado, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Florida and more.
